Christmas lights in general, are one of the most popular Christmas decorations around and you can understand why. They are, without doubt, one of the most effective ways to decorate your home for Christmas whether it be inside or outside.
Whether you want lights around your windows or door frames, outside fences, hedges or trees, Christmas lights are sure to turn your home into a warm, inviting place.
The only issue can be plugging in to a power outlet. Running a lead from your Christmas lights to an power outlet can be both dangerous (especially for the lawn mowing person) and detract from the overall look. It’s not a pretty sight to see the chord running from your Christmas lights to the power source. So, the best solution is to use battery operated Christmas lights.
Here are 3 different options for battery operated Christmas lights.
The mini Christmas lights are spaced nicely apart and are completely versatile. An essential battery operated product to go with your wreath on the front door. There are countless ways to use these. If you have an outdoor entertaining area then you can wrap them around your verandah posts or your umbrella pole. Place them down the centre of your dining table for Christmas dinner and you won’t have to worry about people tripping on a chord.
You can use the ribbon style Christmas lights around rails or door frames. You can even wrap them around pot plant pots or lamp bases for an extra special effect. They also look good down the side of the stairs, like when you are in an aeroplane and they light up the floor toward the exit door. I really like the fact that these are different colors. Just make sure you have a screw driver to open the battery compartment or buy one online while you are buying your Christmas decorations. It’s pretty common that battery operated things need the use of a screw driver. Otherwise, ask a neighbor or friend to borrow theirs.
The little candles are such a great deal that you might want to consider getting a few sets so you can use them throughout your house and outdoor area. You can place them in the middle of your dining table and use some others on window ledges or between stair rails. Or, you can look at combining them with other Christmas ornaments. Place a large Christmas ornament in the corner of your room and place a few little battery operated Christmas candles around it to attract attention.
