Sometimes having a large Christmas tree makes Christmas seem more magical. When we do our annual cruise of the Boulevard here in Melbourne, there is a feeling of awe when you spy a large Christmas tree in the front window, all decked out with gorgeous Christmas decorations and Christmas lights.
If you are reading this then I am guessing that you have already planned a spot for your 12 foot artificial Christmas tree. After all, you want to be able to fit it within the space you have planned in your home.
My Christmas tree is artificial and the great thing is that it looks real. I know because people have asked me if it is a real Christmas tree.
Buying a Christmas tree is usually a one-off investment unless you are going to combine it with a mini artificial Christmas tree.
So, paying more for such a Christmas item is worthwhile as you will be using it for many years to come.
What I Like About These Three Trees
What I like about these 12 ft Xmas trees is that you have a few options to choose from. These large Christmas trees are not just one size fits all.
You can decide if you want a 12 ft Christmas tree that lights up or one that is unlit and I have provided both types for you to see.
The first one is unlit. Keep in mind that some of these trees ship separately so you cannot order lights in the same shipment if you choose an unlit tree.
Some trees have a warranty and the third one shown here has a two year warranty although I have to say I have never had a problem with my tree and it’s a 7 & 1/2 ft.
They all have that real look and feel about them as a feature. This is something I believe is important when selecting an artificial Christmas tree.
I really don’t like tacky looking trees. The only time I don’t mind something that looks fake is if you get a miniature artificial tree.
Not all trees are for use indoors and outdoors so be aware of that when you make your selection.
How To Decorate Your Large Christmas Tree
When it comes to decorating a twelve foot Christmas tree you have so many wonderful options. You can choose to just have lights on it if you choose the unlit one and you don’t have to go with the standard Christmas colors.
You can choose different Christmas lights and make your Christmas theme unique. Sometimes sparse is better and you can be selective about your Christmas decorations. Choose some large Christmas baubles and combine it with a few unique Christmas ornaments and you will achieve the desired Christmas effect.
You may need to stand on a ladder to decorate the top of your large tree so find out if a neighbor or family friend has one if you don’t. I find it is usually best to put the Christmas lights on first and then place them where you want them. Then, add your Christmas ornaments after.
Don’t forget to decorate other areas of your home too and get a good deal on some Christmas inflatables to add to the theme.
These 12 foot Christmas trees do make a beautiful statement and if my ceiling were taller or I had a place below a staircase then I would love to go up a size.
